Auction floor workflow

Rules

How live bidding works

English auctions with wallet holds and soft close. Read these rules before you chase a lot into the final minutes.

Minimum increments

Each lot has a starting price and minimum increment. Your next bid must meet the published minimum shown on the lot page.

Wallet holds

A high bid holds that amount from available balance. Get outbid and the hold returns so you can bid elsewhere.

Soft close / anti-snipe

Bids in the final minutes extend the end time (default 3 minutes) so others can respond—last-second snipes don’t freeze the floor.

Reserve prices

Some lots have a reserve. If reserve isn’t met at close, holds release and no sale settles. The lot page shows whether reserve is met.

Binding bids

Accepted bids are binding. Only admin-voided bids release holds outside normal outbid / cancel paths.

Schedule & status

Upcoming lots appear on the Schedule page. They open at starts_at and close at ends_at via the minute scheduler.

Before you bid on vehicles

Car lots carry more information for a reason. Review VIN (partial), title status, accident notes, drivetrain, and pickup location. If something’s unclear, email support with the lot link before you push the price.

Winning below reserve does not create a purchase. Watch the reserve status chip on the bid panel.
